Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was born on January 15th, 1929. In recognition of his life of dedicated service, on his birthday, each year, thousands gather to volunteer in their communities. In 2023, Dr. Martin Luther King’s Day of Service will take place on Monday, January 16th, 2022.

After the picture was taken folks shared a feeling of accomplishment and joy they experienced working with others. Many asked: what’s next.
After some thought, our answer became 1st Saturdays.
Meaning, let’s meet again every 1st Saturday of the month and volunteer in the school garden.
But next time, let’s recruit more students, parents and alumni to improve the school garden and increase support for the students directly from their extended community.
