No 1st Saturdays in January.

Instead, we are hosting a Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 15th at Oakland Tech high school with Oakland’s own Urban Releaf.

Which means in addition to working on the garden area, volunteers will be able to plant trees and clean up litter around the school.

We would like to thank Mr Senn and some of his science students for coming out on 1st Saturdays – DECEMBER!

We made a difference.

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2018.

Have a happy holiday and a better New Year!

Date: January 15th, 2018
Location: Oakland Tech High School
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Place: School Garden (off of 42nd street)
Special guest: Jody London – School board representative

Please remember to pass this message Oakland Tech’s Student Leaders (government), Parent Teacher Associations and Alumni. Updates from each of these three main organizations is the collaboration we aim to achieve. We call this collaboration – #Familyhood.

Its math formula is SGA + PTA + ALumni = #Familyhood

Our vision is a #Familyhood at every school.

Once a month we advance closer to this vision through 1st Saturdays – The Official Monthly Volunteer Day.

Join us and start in your community.
