We Support - Building Healthy Economics!
A systematic approach of bridging volunteers into a communities generation gap to emphasize and promote a sustainable, local economy one month at a time.
The two main systems of Healthy Economics are:
1) The Food System and 2) The Educational system.
The strategy to build Healthy Economics utilizes four main programs (websites) to partner both the food system and the educational system.
The Four main Programs of Healthy Economics are:
| The official monthly volunteer day that brings the generations together to revisit the communities development vision and strategies. | |
| Strengthens student government, pta’s, alumni associations and business partners in every neighborhood to build the complete school. Once the complete school is formed, the community has the necessary people system to promote a sustainable community. | |
| Develop social enterprises that increase access to healthy fruits and vegetables. For example, building school gardens, farmers markets, cooperative grocery stores are the type of social enterprises that Mo’ Better Food has produced over the years that increase access to healthy fruits and vegetables. | |
| The Intergenerational Enterprise brings together student leaders and adults (PTA, Alumni) to oversee the school garden/ farmers market and others social enterprises that enable student internships and employment opportunities within the community. |
